Today i looked deeper into the user-flows. I talked with a couple of people about the data that is provided by redshift(an amazon service that keeps track of the user data) I discovered some useful stuff about the user-flows and how i want to approach this assignment. I’m looking forward to Monday, where I’ll be looking at the real data and try to get some information out of it. For now, enjoy your weekend. Cheers!!
Today i finished my project document. I’ve send it to Anke so she can give me some feedback. Also my team read the document so they will be up to date about my internship. I also looked at visualizations so i could see some examples on how to visualize the user-flows. Tomorrow i hope to dig a little bit deeper in the analytic so i can begin with finding the biggest user-flows.
Today i finished my project document. Tomorrow I’ll sit with Stefan to talk about the research-questions and the overall process of the internship so far. We also went out form lunch with one of the co-founders of StudyPortals. It was very nice to hear what his opinion about the future of StudyPortals is.
Today i worked at polishing my project document. I’m a little bit struggling with my research questions, but I’m getting there. We had a pretty awesome brainstorm session today about a page that our team probably will redesign. I also continued with my book. Tomorrow will be the sprint to to finish. I will finish my research questions and my project document V1.3. Wish me luck!
So today Anke went by. She had some good feedback on my project document. I have to do some things to get my document approved. I will start on these tomorrow. We also had a big meeting where we discussed all the technical stuff people had done the last two weeks. It was very interesting. We also decided what we wanted to do the next couple of weeks. I’m looking really forward to really start my investigation.
Friday again. Today i worked hard at the planning visualization and the research questions. I also started reading a very interesting book :”Sprint, how to solve big problems and test new ideas in just five days”. This will be very handy for my internship. For the rest i worked together with the team to set some goals for the next sprint. Not so that I’ll be working on these tasks but just to getting known with the SCRUM method and everything involved with it.
I wish you a great weekend! Cheers
Today I finished my project document. I’ve send it to Anke to get some feedback. I also looked at the planning with Stefan. The planning need some adjustments but it’s pretty clear now. I’m going to work on the research questions tomorrow that will help me with the overall project. Today we also saw a presentation about the new functions that all the teams have implemented to the portals.
Today I didn’t feel very well. I went to the doctor to get something for my throat. After that it was pretty hard for me to concentrate, so i did some programming with a colleague. it was good to getting more in touch with coding stuff. I didn’t finish as i was planning to. But I hope i will be feeling fine in the morning so i can continue my project document.
Today I’ve reviewed the goal of my assignment with my team and worked further on the document. My planning is to have to document finished tomorrow before lunch. I’m still searching for a good looking visualization for my planning. I’ve looked some deeper into the big data to see what’s possible to realize. The data is so huge that i need to scope my project some more. But for now I’m going to finish the project document so I get feedback from Anke.
Weekend is over already. It was a fun weekend. I joined the monthly drinks last Friday. Afterwards we went to the city center. I’ve met some new colleagues, it was very fun. I also got some feedback about my project document. Stefan and i aligned with the goal of the assignment. I’m happy that I’m making good progress. I’m now busy with implementing the feedback so i can send it back to Anke. Next week Anke will come over to visit StudyPortals, so i will have everything ready before she will come over.
